Mini-Earthquake

I was sitting on my couch watching T.V. around midnight when I heard some background noise that reminded me of radio static, only lower in frequency (musical pitch). Then I felt something give me a gentle poke on my seat, and heard the background noise fade away.  I realized that I’d just experienced a mini-earthquake. It came from the northwest and continued southeast.  That’s the Whidbey Island fault!
